• xenforo has sucessfully updated our forum software last night. Howevr, that has returned many templates to stock formats which MAY be missing some previous functionality. It has also fixed some boroken templates Ive taken offline. Reat assured, we are working on getting our templates back to normal, but will take a few days. Im working top down, so best bet is to stick with the default templates as I work thru them.

Nothing beats the smell of a butt on the PBC while grinding down the paint and rust on an old rusty bilco door. The whiff encourages me to grind faster knowing the end will be a delicious (I hope) dinner and ice cold beer after a new paint job.

This might be my first time doing pulled pork but unfortunately, NOT my first time with a grinder in my hand.

Keep us posted on the cook. The smell is definitely a motivational tool.

Well, as always, my wife likes to change horses mid stream. Started sanding as previously mentioned and the bat phone rings. "Hello Batman, I just bought a new shed at Lowes. Drop what you are doing come pick it up and then when you get it home cut down 4 trees because that is where I want it."

Anyway here are some pics as I rest with my first beer of the day:

And going into foil - both the butt and I are enjoying our 1st High Life of the day. Sorry this is shaky. I just put the chainsaw away:

Great looking butt... Good luck with new project... Ha!

I recall cooking my first butt. The wife and kids thought I was suddenly the greatest cook on the face of the earth!

I hope you get the same effect. lol A nice cooked but tastes and smells great and will make your tongue slap your cheeks!

Ok I'm stuffed, the wife is stuffed the neighbor who comes over anytime he smells smoke is stuffed (and drunk on my beer and Jameson).

Verdict - I done good! Wife is happy with dinner and that I actually did some work instead of sitting with a beer in my hand watching the thermometer all day.

Finished resting:

Nice! I had the same kind of day. Run to Lowes to put shelves in the new babies closet. My wife and neighbors couldn't believe I was leaving the smoker unattended. I told them I had 6 hours. It will be fine. I do not hang the butts. They get set on the rack.
