I am taking the family to San Diego next week and looking for a few great BBQ joints. Nothing fancy just great BBQ. Any recommendations would be appreciated.

xenforo has sucessfully updated our forum software last night. Howevr, that has returned many templates to stock formats which MAY be missing some previous functionality. It has also fixed some boroken templates Ive taken offline. Reat assured, we are working on getting our templates back to normal, but will take a few days. Im working top down, so best bet is to stick with the default templates as I work thru them.

I was in San Diego last December. Do yourself a favor and skip looking for great bbq and go with stuff San Diego is known for. Authentic Mexican food, Tacos, In and Out Burgers, and seafood.
A couple places I went to that I was impressed with.
Bluewater Seafood - They are known for their fish tacos and I know why.
Taco's Perla - This has some authentic style tacos but also has some really creative tacos and very creative salsas.
Modern Times Brewery - This place was really cool and I definitely enjoyed their beers.
