• xenforo has sucessfully updated our forum software last night. Howevr, that has returned many templates to stock formats which MAY be missing some previous functionality. It has also fixed some boroken templates Ive taken offline. Reat assured, we are working on getting our templates back to normal, but will take a few days. Im working top down, so best bet is to stick with the default templates as I work thru them.

I'm doing my first comp this weekend and have a question about sampling. The comp is in my hometown, so there will be LOTS of people there that I know. After turn-ins, I'm going to have a lot of leftovers. Is it OK to give out free samples or will that be frowned upon by the teams that choose to vendor? Thanks!

It varies. In most cases either the health department or the organizer may prohibit it. A lot of comps are part of festivals that have vendors, and they make money from the vendors and don't want to steal their business.

But, you can feed friends and family ;)

Check with the organizer

Samples to the public would be a no-no. But friends and family? Go for it.

Yep, Enjoying time and food with friends and family is not giving out samples.

That said, it's still probably best for them to be in your site with you and avoid the appearance of handing out samples.
