• xenforo has sucessfully updated our forum software last night. Howevr, that has returned many templates to stock formats which MAY be missing some previous functionality. It has also fixed some boroken templates Ive taken offline. Reat assured, we are working on getting our templates back to normal, but will take a few days. Im working top down, so best bet is to stick with the default templates as I work thru them.

So I spent this morning giving my gasser a good cleaning inside and out, it sure needed it. After i reinstalled everything i decided to check all my flame levels.

My burners were all pretty good.

The rotisserie shot like 4" yellow flames so I opened the venturi s h u t t e r s all the way open and got them all blue with some yellow, still really long though.

Checked the side burner and it was like a camp fire, long whispy yellow flames. Opened it all the way up and same thing (long yellow flames, maybe shorter)

For the rotisserie, is there a way to reduce gas to get a smaller tighter blue flame? For the side burner, any ideas on what else to adjust to get some blue? For what its worth, ive never used either yet, so unsure if it ever worked.

Did you check the burner tubes for spider webs or other bugs? Even a small one can really screw up the burner.

Dialing the gas back to med/low or so and the rotisserie performed beautifully. My guess is it is supposed to be pretty strong at high.

Still unsure about the side burner and its long yellow flame.

Yes, I cleaned out all the tubes, didn't mess with the side burner. Will have to check it out I guess.

I know some of you have gasser experience. Dont be afraid to come forward and help a brethren out! I will let you tell me about all your smokers and we can both pretend we dont have gassers afterwards.
