• xenforo has sucessfully updated our forum software last night. Howevr, that has returned many templates to stock formats which MAY be missing some previous functionality. It has also fixed some boroken templates Ive taken offline. Reat assured, we are working on getting our templates back to normal, but will take a few days. Im working top down, so best bet is to stick with the default templates as I work thru them.

I normally run through at least a bag of charcoal during a cook no matter what I am cooking......today I only loaded the fire box twice. Must be a matter of ambient temps and humidity. Anyone got any thoughts on this?

on my offset (stick burner), Wind is usually the biggest factor, followed by rain, then by temp.

Sorry, Not much help for ya.

I'm sure no expert but I would think there are many factors. Type of smoker, how much meat, air temp, type of fuel, moisture in the air, wind. Sorry again I only have experience with webber kettles nothing larger.

Hey Jay the only time I notice a big change in consumption of fuel is when I feel the smoker up with alot of meat. It take more fuel to bring it to temp. Other then that not much difference.
