• xenforo has sucessfully updated our forum software last night. Howevr, that has returned many templates to stock formats which MAY be missing some previous functionality. It has also fixed some boroken templates Ive taken offline. Reat assured, we are working on getting our templates back to normal, but will take a few days. Im working top down, so best bet is to stick with the default templates as I work thru them.

Um, you guys.

This member might be a little more experienced than you think.

If my intuition is true, this is Jim Minion. THE Jim Minion.

You may have heard of the slow burning technique that people associate with him being the founder. That's right, The Minion Method was developed by a Jim Minion.

Regardless of whether you are the same person Jim, welcome to the group.

Hope you enjoy the site.

I stumbled on a fireup method a few years ago and it has made the trip interesting. I teach BBQ for the Western BBQ Assoc so I'm always looking for new techniques that I can pass on.
Hopefully I can add something.
Cheers!

Jim, Our resident long burn technique expert is Big Al. He has manufactured a fuel basket specifically for our Bandera/Brinkmann cookers. He's currently determining the economic fesability of another batch based on rising steel prices. You can see it in the For Sale forum.

Watch it buddy... he may have the method.. but I got the power!!

Mr. Minion Sir,

When I saw your post here, I wondered if you was the same gentleman that developed the "Minion Method", and also if you were the same person that frequents the BBQ Forum. Let me say that it is an extreme honor and privledge to have you as a Brother. I wanted to say that I do have a tendancy to "pick" on Brian, Bill, Greg, TK, and Phil. Now that I know that you will be reading my posts, I will try to use good judgement and curtail such devious activity.

Welcome Mr. Minion!

(whew---do you think he bought it? Me behave? Never!)

Glad you joined us! I look forward to your posts.

Mr Kick,
Mr Minion Sir was my father.
I have notice a trend here, picking on brothers is part of deal. It reminds of a young lady I worked with once, after a sensitivity meeting at work, she told me if I didn't sexually harass her any longer she would feel as if I didn't like her anymore!
If they can take it, I surely won't mind!
Happy to be part of the group!

Jim
