From the beginning - hamburger

From my humble beginnings on this site (just passed 10 years so still relatively a newbie) I've stated more than once, "hamburger is my favorite cut of beef". My Poppa would butcher a cow and seriously he'd get a couple steaks, couple roast and 400# of burger. He'd call Dad and we'd get sacks of hamburger. Mom worked wonders with hamburger, garden veggies and a shaker of Lawry's. Umbrella Salt and powdered pepper in a small tin.

Saturday Night Jackie Gleason, grilled hamburgers, home made fries cooked in beef tallow, Govt Peanut Butter cookies for dessert. Good times.

A burger is good stuff. I have never known about getting organ meat ground in but it would definitely add more flavor.
