First off I want to say it’s been a long time since I’ve been here and boy this place has a lot of ads these days .
Thanks for the advice recently on injecting and brining my turkey. I’m going to inject but I’m preparing a rub for the outside. I have two tried and true rubs I mix up myself. One is a Cajun rub which is a modified version of Emeralds Cajun recipe you can find online and the other is a really good sweet rub I’ve been mixing up for years that’s always been a hit. We have fresh rosemary, thyme, and sage in the crisper drawer. I was wondering if there was a way to leave the dried versions out of one of my rubs and mix these fresh herbs in with the dry spices to rub with? I’ve never tried to mix fresh and dried spices together for rubbing before. Thanks
