Francis the Thin Pig-Husband wants a Hog coooker

Here is the project of the day.....Francis the thin pig. The children named it this morning as it sat on the table looking back at them.

Not too big-only 30 or so pounds. Dinner for the 6 of us.

He (Guido) thinks I'm dumb- this whole pig thing. He wants a Hog cooker for Christmas.....I keep finding the Meadow Creek catalog throughout the house. I'm on to him though..........

I have a guy close to our town that used to do big catering jobs that is getting out of the business and has a custom Spicewine that will cook a whole hog without parting it out. He has 4 cooking racks that are 51" x 25 " it is less than 1 year old and on a trailer. Contact me if you are interested.

Happy to report that Francis was very tasty.
Not a whole lot left for lunch today at all!

And yes...Guido did get a large Spicewine for his last birthday and a Lang 60 the year before that. March is a long way off ...I better start saving now. I can't complain-he feeds all of us and that's no easy job.
