Knows what a fatty is.
Stopped in to Fox Bros. last night and thought I give a quick recap. Mid size building with decent seating. (we were there at 8pm and had to wait 30 min. for a table) We were seated on the patio and ordered two different 2 meat 2 sides plates. We got Brisket, Pulled Pork, Jalapeno Chedder Sausage, and Spare Ribs. The sides were Cole Slaw, Potato Salad, Mac and Cheese, and Baked Beans. I was very proud of my 4 year old who told the waitress "I want a Brisket Sandwich!" (He even at half the brisket). My 6 year old ordered a corn dog (there may be no hope for him, but I will keep trying)
The sides were all very good. The mac and cheese and the baked beans were the best of all the 4 sides. For a Georgia based BBQ spot making Texas style Brisket, it was very good. The pork was actually just a chunk of pork butt that was not pulled and was kind of on the dry side (it was late and it could have been holding for a while, so it didn't bother me) The Sausage was the second best thing we had, and the ribs were third. The ribs were spot on tender, but could have used just a bit more seasoning.
All in all I wouldn't make another 4 hour trip only for this spot, but if I'm passing through Atlanta again I would stop in again.
One major drawback in the lack of parking. I had to park a half mile down a side street that is nearly made it's total hipster transformation.
Sorry for the dimly lit pics, the patio had mood lighting and it was difficult to get a good shot.
