First Time Whole Hog cook in action

Here's how this cook finished.
All in all the pig cooked about 12 hours, the shoulders were in the mid 180s and the hams in the mid 170s when I pulled it off the cooker. I was worried it wouldn't fall apart like I wanted, but when I got in there and started getting the meat out it was all good!! Meat came off clean, real tender and delicious.

Only thing I would change next time, is to remember the apple in it's mouth. lol

Here's piggy getting a rest period

For as freaked out as us parents thought they'd be, the kids were the first in line for some fresh pork

Bad ass man! Looks like it all turned out well. I used to have block parties where I grew up sadly it went away as the neighborhoods changed. No one really talks to each other and can't be bothered.

That must have been one great treat for all that attended the party. Kudos!
