• xenforo has sucessfully updated our forum software last night. Howevr, that has returned many templates to stock formats which MAY be missing some previous functionality. It has also fixed some boroken templates Ive taken offline. Reat assured, we are working on getting our templates back to normal, but will take a few days. Im working top down, so best bet is to stick with the default templates as I work thru them.

Hi all,

My name is Tom, I am from St. Louis. The member name is because I teach music and am a freelance trombonist in the area. I love good BBQ (duh). I have smoked a couple of pork butts in an ECB that I got last year which turned out pretty good. The problem is the thing is out of the round and I am tired of babysitting it. My goal is a WSM but with a baby on the way the $189 / free shipping Buy.com has it for right now is a little out of our budget. It's going to have to be CL everyday until I find one! Looking forward to getting to know everyone here!

Welcome, to the party. grab a cold one and jump right in. Don't be too quick to dump that ECB unless it is badly out a shape. I started with one, got rid of it, got a WSM and then turned around and got another ECB. They are good units, and will cook some good food for you and the family.

It is pretty bad. I probably won't get rid of it right away as it is the only smoker I have right now but once I get that WSM I don't know how long it has!

WELCOME Tom glad you could join us jump in freely. Sorry to hear about the defective expensive flower pot but look at the bright side the baby is perfect and a WSM will happen.

Welcome LB. I was thinking of reloading shotgun shells with the target load low brass myself. And I used to pretend to play trombone in high school band. I sucked at it. Hope you enjoy the forum.

I used to could play trumpet in my younger days. Now I play with the smokers instead.
