• xenforo has sucessfully updated our forum software last night. Howevr, that has returned many templates to stock formats which MAY be missing some previous functionality. It has also fixed some boroken templates Ive taken offline. Reat assured, we are working on getting our templates back to normal, but will take a few days. Im working top down, so best bet is to stick with the default templates as I work thru them.

After a little research on BBQ Breathern I decided to try some yardbirds on my new Large BGE. I set up the BGE using a Woo and cast iron grate. I'm guessing the cook took about 1+ hours. More details listed below:

Fuel: Red Oak Lump
Yardbird size: 4lbs
Seasoning: Spiceologist Margarita
Cook temp: 360 F
Target Temp: Breast 180F

Following are a few pictures to illustrate the event.....

One of the yardbirds did have dark skin but did not taste burned. The final result was juicy and taste chicken.

Since you mentioned it, it did look a bit like open heart surgery, I guess too many gagets but that adds to the fun factor....
