• xenforo has sucessfully updated our forum software last night. Howevr, that has returned many templates to stock formats which MAY be missing some previous functionality. It has also fixed some boroken templates Ive taken offline. Reat assured, we are working on getting our templates back to normal, but will take a few days. Im working top down, so best bet is to stick with the default templates as I work thru them.

Made a rotisserie ring for the 14.5. WSM: http://www.bbq-brethren.com/forum/showthread.php?t=221968&highlight=rotisserie+ring
Got it painted & seasoned, finally.

Cooked a chicken this afternoon/evening. High Heat Cook. Coated the bird with Kosher salt for 2 hours. Rinsed it well several times. Slathered it with Mayo & rubbed it with Weber's Garlic & Herb seasoning. Put it on the spit. Full charcoal ring of used KBB & 3 chunks cherry & 1 chunk pecan.

Let it spin... temps were moderated from 400* to 440* for 85 minutes. Had a spike that pegged the 732 over 550*. Got HHH error message on the Ready Check!

I'm hoping it tastes as good as it looks. It's a Christmas present for my next door neighbor of 30+ years. He's 86 now.

I like your roti setup and that bird looks fantastic. :thumb:

Nice trussing job. Looks like it worked great for the roti. Any instructions you can share?

nice rig and bird. even better that you are gifting it to your neighbor! i would prefer that over a tie or pair of socks any day.

That is one mighty fine looking bird!!

I have been at this game for a couple years now and chicken STILL remains my arch nemesis. I just can not cook a dang bird.

Nothing better than the gift of food, especialy aery cooked. your'e a good friend.
