• xenforo has sucessfully updated our forum software last night. Howevr, that has returned many templates to stock formats which MAY be missing some previous functionality. It has also fixed some boroken templates Ive taken offline. Reat assured, we are working on getting our templates back to normal, but will take a few days. Im working top down, so best bet is to stick with the default templates as I work thru them.

I'm not big on posting, but I thought this might be helpful for those in the market for a new smoker. I've been bbq'ing on my extra large egg for quite a while and have done pretty well with it but had always wanted a small quality stick burner. I drove all the way from Pineville, Louisiana to Wichita, Kansas Friday after finding this pit for sale on this forum. Just completed my first cook on the pit this morning and I'm thrilled with it. Cooked two racks of St Louis ribs and a chicken. Used Pecan splits and peach and pear chunks. I just slightly over cooked the ribs but they were honestly the best I'd ever done. My son said they were probably the best he'd ever tasted. Chicken was excellent too. Pit is extremely easy to light up, control and maintain temperature on. Considering that it was my first time to ever use an offset pit it's pretty amazing how well it went. I can strongly recommend Shirley smokers. Kenny

glad you loving your pit and still have never heard anyone say anything negative that has owned one .

It was the one for sale by ewchippe in the for sale section on this website. It's a 24x65 pipe type with warmer box on trailer. Single big door (heavy, lol). Showed it to a bunch of my bbq'ing buddies here and they are all impressed. Made nine hour drive home with it and trailer smooth as glass, easily pulls at 80+mph. Of course I'll never have to tow it that far again! I'm not a paying member yet so I don't think I can post pictures and I couldn't figure out how to attach link to for sale posting. Anyway, I'm tickled to death with it so far, unfortunately working long hours this week so it'll be a while before I can cook again

Yep, that's it. Will get one of my children to help posting pictures etc. I really enjoy the posts with food pics. Some of the ones by the guy from Australia are amazing. Looks like something from a five star restaurant in New York or New Orleans.

That's a nice looking smoker! I liked the dimensions and features.
