Doing my first cook on my bge tonight, gonna do boneless chicken breasts. Can anyone tell my what temp to do it at for direct grilling? What internal temp do I want the breasts to cook to?

Please help a beginner out
 
I like my Chicken cooked to 175ish for Breast.

I'd cook it at about 350 or so.

Grats on the Egg! Mine is loaded with Pork Butts as we speak!

Wow, nice to be able to lug around a heavy green egg :)

Thanks for the quick replies, how long should I wait to flip it roughly? And when should I sauce? I'll check those YouTube videos too
 
You really don't HAVE to flip them on an Egg but you can just flip them when the color is right on the bottom.

Sauce in the last 5 minutes or so. If you sauce early it may burn and no one likes that...
 
Back when I had an egg (one of the early, NON-high heat ones), I'd get the temp steady at 300 or 350, put the chicken on, shut the lid back down and usually 30 minutes later they were killer! Nothing cooks like an Egg.
 
I go 350-375, flip after about 12 minutes, for another 12 or so, depending on what it feels like, then put some sauce on the last few minutes.

Congrats on the egg! It's the best thing I've ever bought.
 
First cook was awesome, cooked at around 365. Used bad myron's butt rub, olive oil, and a bunch of different BBQ sauces, the traegers honey Bourbon BBQ sauce was the best by far
