Finally!!

I got the Bandera fired up this morning!

Only a small load, 1 large pork shoulder, an elk chuck, and 2 fatties. At this point I am just happy to have something in the 'dera.

It's been 8 months since my last cook. It's been over 3 months since I've been in here!

You need to send Eat at Joe's Joe some of those elk antlers to make homemade knifes out of!

The guy that makes the knives is named Doc!

I bought 3 from him and gave 2 away for special gifts!

Then again Doc may prefere to use wood only!

As great as it would be to have a knife with the antlers, I can never cut 'em. They are hangin' on my living room wall along with his front half. I'll post a few pics of the mount when I can.
