It looks like the California Kamado company is for sale. My statewide RSS craigslist feed for a kamado search came up with this today:

Brethren with these pods may want to order spare/replacement parts now in case the owner has to shut down and liquidate. I'm just speculating as the ad says the business including his truck is for sale for $40k OBO.
It does makes me feel a bit more secure that my ceramic cookers are from one of the more established manufacturers.
