• xenforo has sucessfully updated our forum software last night. Howevr, that has returned many templates to stock formats which MAY be missing some previous functionality. It has also fixed some boroken templates Ive taken offline. Reat assured, we are working on getting our templates back to normal, but will take a few days. Im working top down, so best bet is to stick with the default templates as I work thru them.

So what's on the menu for Father's Day?

I have a little 4lb brisket flat for Father's Day. I bought some pecan chunks to go with it.

Other than that, I have a couple of pork tenderloins that are in a jerk paste right now. They'll go on sometime tomorrow.

I'm not cooking I hope!! well maybe not too much...
My wife was all set to make resrvations at our favorite restaurant for Fathers day, (She doesn't cook much, I do, and I hate cleaning so we make a good pair.) I said no, no, no, no-I want you and the kids to cook me dinner, the shock and look on her face was priceless! I told her I want a 1.5 in. thick porterhouse steak grilled over a wood fire, with all the fixings! She's freaking out now trying to get everything together...I felt bad later and told her I would help her, it would be fun cooking together...

Ribeyes Sunday if it doesn't rain at the time. And yep, I'll probably be cookin em.

Out for Chinese.....

we've been catering like crazy, and the thought of standing near a stove is starting to repulse me.

Was going to do a brisket ... but Sam's Club is out of 'em (and bone-in Boston butts). Headed to Costco later tonight to see if they have any boneless butts. Hopefully so.

Brisket and either ribs or boston butt, a fridge full of Miller Lite, and a day of swimming in the pool with my wife and kids while listening to either the race or the Reds, then watching the other on the tivo later!

Rick please--what is/are boat eggs?

Menu looks and sounds wonderful, as usual.

I've got 3 briskets going and just pulled some excellent brined chicken. I would like to throw more meat on right now but am practicing restraint right now.

Restraint from a brethren? Lets not go setting a precedent here.
