Contest Announcment Family Care Network's 2nd Annual Wild West BBQ Bash

A day of BBQing and family fun benefitting foster and high-needs children and families on June 26th at Preisker Park, Santa Maria​

Amateurs and pros alike are invited to compete for the Wild West Crown against teams from Santa Maria and around the state in this IBCA-sanctioned competition. The judging panel will be comprised of local Central Coast community members making the event an even playing field for all competitors. Space is limited to 32 teams, so be sure to sign-up today!

Benefits to Participation:

• Qualifier for the Jack Daniels World Championship Invitational Barbeque with the participation of at least 15 teams
• “Team of the Year” points available for CBBQA members
• Satisfaction of helping foster and high-needs children and families
• Recognition given through 15th place and to People’s Choice winner
• $3,400 in Prize Money

- Monetary award categories include:
§ Grand Champion
§ Reserve Grand Champion
§ 1st, 2nd, 3rd, Place in all judges’ categories

Teams Will Need To:

• Compete in at least one of the six categories including:

- Pork Spare Ribs
- ½ Chicken
- Beef Brisket
- Pork Shoulder/Butt
- Beef Tri-Tip
- People’s Choice

• Competitors must compete in the first 4 categories to be a contender for “Grand Champion”
• Submit a completed application form with the $200 entry fee
