Babbling Farker
Decided at the last minute today to cook an Eye of Round Roast in the smoker instead of the oven. I do not like to cook roast in the smoker because my wife does not like any red in her meat.
Did it anyway. Used a rub of SPOG and smoked with cherry splits. Cooked at a temp between 300-350 for 1 1/2 hours. To an IT(I know) of 150 and let rest for 20 minutes before slicing.
It had a great flavor and smoke ring for only being in the cooker for 1 1/2 hrs. Not cooked to my doneness, but have to please the wife. It still was very good and juicy.

On the Boss Hogg. 300-350 using cherry splits. 1 1/2 hr cook time to 150 IT.( I know) wife does not like medium rare.
Sliced, very good smoke flavor and not dry. Very juicy. I do not know why it was not dry. Gave it a 20 minute rest before slicing.
Thanks for looking. I know it was cooked past medium rare. Need to have a happy wife.
