• xenforo has sucessfully updated our forum software last night. Howevr, that has returned many templates to stock formats which MAY be missing some previous functionality. It has also fixed some boroken templates Ive taken offline. Reat assured, we are working on getting our templates back to normal, but will take a few days. Im working top down, so best bet is to stick with the default templates as I work thru them.

Ever cook on one of these?

Seems like a dream grill, plenty of room to work, you could maintain a couple different temp zones, would be pretty slick to find the right grill height by adjusting those big wheels. Heck there's enough room there to do some indirect cooking.

Never used one, but I have seen them and found them interesting. Wouldn't work here where I live but for a few months a year. It does look like fun for a hot day with no wind. Watch the roast beast get happy while enjoying a beverage. Instead of moving the stuff around just crank the wheel.

Would be good for OCD guys like me. Kind of like stir fry, an excuse to fark with it.

They are pretty popular in Santa Maria, Ca. Pretty famous for cooking tri-tips up there. Sorta seems like they might use a good bit of fuel, but I don't know, I'm only speculating.

Samich,

You finally got it! You told me about it around xmas. Hope it works as good as it looks! Let's see pics of a cook on it.

lol

Unfortunately it belongs to someone else. Getting a nice tax return though...

As we discussed... put one of those next to your Klose and you got an outdoor cookin' kitchen.

Those are pretty cool.... Southern Style is another one that will go from sear to smoker on the grill height.... and lets you really smoke in it as well... way cool stuff. www.southernstylecookers.com They remind me of a hasty bake. Firebox in bottom, with the grate raising and lowering inside - vs. that one where it is outside. Both are pretty cool. Saw one of those at the AR in a booth - would be fun to fark with.

Matter of fact, I have. In fact I've got one that looks just like that! Truck too! Hey, I think that's my house as well. Where did you get those photo's?
:-P

I got that last year. It's a Klose 48x24 grill with a 160,000 btu side burner.

Highly recommended!

I'll have to post some pictures where I cooked some Rendevous style grilled ribs last April............. in the SNOW!

I live in Northeast Ohio. Cleveland Metro area. Can cook on it about 8 months of the year. It's plenty large enough for indirect grilling and also for barbecuing directly over coals.

Glad you guys liked it and it's a pleasure talking to you guys. Great site you have here.

There's a steakhouse in Dallas that has been around since
I was a kid and that style is what they use.

I was gonna say , Hey that driveway looks familiar! Hi Dallas! er, Double DD

Hey Dave. Took a look at your site. Looks great. Good luck to you in the upcoming season.

LOL

Busted! I swiped that from the Klose froum archives.

Not a problem Sami. It definitely caught my attention! LOL!:-D
