• xenforo has sucessfully updated our forum software last night. Howevr, that has returned many templates to stock formats which MAY be missing some previous functionality. It has also fixed some boroken templates Ive taken offline. Reat assured, we are working on getting our templates back to normal, but will take a few days. Im working top down, so best bet is to stick with the default templates as I work thru them.

Decided to go with the Birch this weekend and was very pleased with its results on the turkey and ABTs. I would definitely recommend Birch on poultry.
 
It added a distinct sweetness to it and had some what of a fruity flavor. It smelled good during the cook and tasted even better.

I have not yet used a wide variety of woods to acurately compare this one to others in more detail, but to me it is up there in my personal favorites.
 
I have never used birch but now you got me thinking I need to try some.

What type birch??..yellow,White or Black??...Did you use the bark or did you remove it before smoking????
