• xenforo has sucessfully updated our forum software last night. Howevr, that has returned many templates to stock formats which MAY be missing some previous functionality. It has also fixed some boroken templates Ive taken offline. Reat assured, we are working on getting our templates back to normal, but will take a few days. Im working top down, so best bet is to stick with the default templates as I work thru them.

Anybody here live in or near the Great State of Oklahoma?

One of the few places in the area that still cooks on a stick burner (as opposed to a Ron Popeil machine-you know-"set it and forget it") is Elmer's. Elmer died a couple years ago, but his family is pickin up the slack. Besides, all Elmer ever did was sit at the register and collect the $.

Great Q, good sweet spicy sauce, all around real deal.

I was thinking if anyone lived nearby or in the Tulsa area, maybe we could meet for lunch sometime.

Elmer's has nuthin' on Mac's up in Skiatook. Ever been there? He was a competitor some years back, and has awards from both the Jack and the Royal hanging on his wall. His competition skills translated very well into the restaurant business. You won't be disappointed when you look out back.:-D He's across from the old Walmart store on Highway 20, in a strip mall with a doughnut shop next door. If you haven't tried it, you're missing an outstanding BBQ cook. If you're familiar with Donny Teel, who cooks as Buffalo BBQ, Mac is the one who got him started cooking comp some years back.

The Split Rail on 51 between BA and Coweta is very good too - it's in the old skating rink on the north side of the highway just before you get to Coweta.
