Some of you might know that I can't bake my way out of a wet paper bag.
At least until today and thanks to ecode.:clap2::clap2:

She sent me her recipe for those wonderful buns she makes.:clap2::clap2:

My wife could not believe I made them:thumb::thumb: Gunna use them for burgers for lunch tomorrow.

Thanks again ecode!

I've never successfully baked ANYTHING from scratch, in spite of innumerable efforts. I've since accepted the fact that it's not in the cards for me. Glad to see your success!

Jim is the recipe sharable or is it a closely guarded secret? I would like to make some of those as I am a bead lover.

By the fact that it came from King Arthur Flour I would think that I could share it. ecode forgive me for letting this out, your buns are wonderful!

ecode made some changes, but it was just in the filling, ie shallots, bacon. I would think you could use almost anything. Think cheese in pizza crust.

For a non baker, I struggled a little, but all in all it was easy. The mistake I made was with the yeast. Didn't have instant so I used rapid rise. The recipe says to just put in the instant but the rapid rise should be mixed in warm liquid. I just put it in, its a guy thing.

Still gotta say they were great. Used them for burgers for lunch today. Don't think you have to worry about them going stale either cause you'll eat them too fast.

Probable would make good bread too. Good luck.:clap2:

Chef Jim they look great :clap2:.

I've learned a lot about grilling from this website and it's nice to know that I can
contribute something as well.
