• xenforo has sucessfully updated our forum software last night. Howevr, that has returned many templates to stock formats which MAY be missing some previous functionality. It has also fixed some boroken templates Ive taken offline. Reat assured, we are working on getting our templates back to normal, but will take a few days. Im working top down, so best bet is to stick with the default templates as I work thru them.

I manage a group of Pharma sales reps in So Cal, and we're always looking for something different to set us apart in the hearts and minds of our customers (Read doctors and their staff ). Last Friday, alot of the reps had lunches with important offices, and long story short, the First Friday Drive Thru Bar B Que was born!

Had 5 reps involved, and they showed up at my house on Friday AM with 2 coolers each. They each got ribs, trip tip, pulled pork, chicken, sauce, salsa, corn bread, butter, utensils, salad and dressing - Enough to feed their customers, about 50 people in all. All reports were that it was a big hit and we're planning on this every month from now on - Why I never thought of it before, I'll never know. It was a loooong Friday after cooking most of the night though. Here's some pix...

Nice. That's funny that I was just thinking about how to tap that Pharm Rep group. Whenever I go into my doctor's office, they almost always are eating something that a rep had brought in for them.

looks tasty! If I would have known there was q like that in Garden Grove I would have never moved away from OC to AZ. lol

BTW how is the Pharm Rep Business? I have always thought it would be a nice job to have coming from a sales background. Need any more reps?

Ah, so that's why my Doc is throwin $313/ 30 day Renexa at me?

Nice Pics, consider all the BBQ ogled but more info on the vw? Nice from what I could see.

A good friend of mine is in telecom sales in Austin. Prior to the kids he used the big Klose mobile for comp cooking. Once a year he pulls the pit to their office, which is actually out in Oak Hill and under some beautiful trees. He'll cook a ton of food, sides, and have everything ready to go for clients to come by and sit down under the trees and have some Q. Those that can't stop and eat get something delivered by their reps if possible, or they are free to come by and pick up food in available containers. Last year they served over 500 meals, not including the stuff that kept leaving the pit and going straight into the office. Great tool for him!

Nice job! I bet you left a lasting impression, maybe your reps can also tell the Doctors, where they can get more BBQ plates, and start a side buisness.

P.S.

NICE BUG!

There's a Web site call cafepharma.com - Kind of a gossip site for reps, but may be a good place for guerilla advertising in your area.

Hijacking my own thread...

Bug was my daughter's daily driver, now my wife's since daughter has gone to college. 1963 VW ragtop, we are the 3rd owners - Did a father-daughter restoration prior to her Senior year of high school (Body, paint interior, etc). This car replaced her 1987 El Camino. She has now has the truck I used to have to haul my pit with. Go figure...

Rich? Wow!

Seriously, thanks.

I used to be the proud owner of an El Camino. Farkin loved that thing. Inherited a 70' with 4 on the floor with 40 k miles on it, from my grand dad. It was a thing of beauty....that is till a drunk driver on 4th of July plowed into it, parked on a street in HB Harbour, between a bmw and mercedes benz.....f-ing destroyed it.

So sad story.....

Dude, CRocke cooks for all dim people and makes it look easy!

Thanks 'Fin - Cookin's easy, it's the work part that gets complicated some times. I'll tell you, I was gassed on Friday afternoon - 0 sleep - I prefer a contest any day!
