• xenforo has sucessfully updated our forum software last night. Howevr, that has returned many templates to stock formats which MAY be missing some previous functionality. It has also fixed some boroken templates Ive taken offline. Reat assured, we are working on getting our templates back to normal, but will take a few days. Im working top down, so best bet is to stick with the default templates as I work thru them.

Um...that should have been removed during the processing of the bird. I'm not eating any turkey with his "butterballs" still attached.

Ken (the least they could do is put those in the giblet packet.)

no the temp thing that pops up when it's done
do u really think i whould eat the...
anyway what do u think of the recipe?

Dr Pepper used to glaze anything you smoke is awesome in and of itself. Forget the roasting pand and get a V-Rack It works better and helps you see the entire turkey .
As far as the little red popper telling you the turkey is done, if you are using that to tell you the turkey is done, the problem will be the turkey will be too dry. Pull the bird at an internal tempature of 165 in the breast meat area.Get a good temp gage and call it good.
I would search the forum for turkey ideas, there are a lot of great ideas here and a wealth of knowlege, take advantage of it and you will have the best turkey you have EVER had I promise

Personal taste here, I like a mixture of garlic juice, onion juice, butter, and some mild spices (touch of cayenne, white pepper, fine ground sea salt). As I said it's a personal taste thing. I'm not much into the herbs (other than Oregano, love that, don't like sage) for a bird. Others like to hammer it with rosemary, thyme and other stuff. Just give it a shot and find what you like.

The Dr. Pepper does sound interesting. Some marinade their dog with it!
