its nowhere near the quality of the real instant read which is the "Thermo-Pen" while it costs three times as much, it will last for years, this knock off at $32.00 is a throw-a way. bought one to see what it was,it lasted two months, and when used side by side with others was off 10-15 degrees.. just my two cents..
