Does fresh basil freeze well?

I use this technique. I also use ice cube trays to freeze the mixture then put in plastic freezer bags.

We make Pesto and freeze it in ice cube trays.

Yep, freezes great as most herbs do.

Ice cube trays? Why didn't I think of that. I do it with homemade stock all the time.

I did find that you should have a different set of trays to use otherwise you drinks taste like, well you know.

Best way to do it is make pesto and freeze Basil is very senstive to cold.
