Cuelio
is one Smokin' Farker
Just got back from Disney World. Wife and I took the kiddies (ages 5 and 3) and had a great time - I mean it. I would cheerfully go back. I mean, watching my kids jumping up and down as I walked them around the Magic Kingdom was worth the price of admission right there.
Riding "Peter Pan's Flight" with my daugther (the 5 year old) was truly one of the highlights of my adult life. My kids play Peter Pan at home just about every day - have been doing so for almost two years. Now they got to meet PP and Hook! My son kept asking me, "daddy, is this real?". My answer: "It's as real as you want it to be." Hell, I became a kid again.
We had dinner one night at Cinderella's castle - weaseled my way in with a fellow Minnesotan who was manning the reservations. My daughter ate the stuff up! She was walking around like a princess with her souvenir magic wand (she got it at the dinner party). We watched the fire works at both the Magic Kingdom and at Epcot. We dined at Chefs de France (Epcot) on my wife's birthday (Oct.19) and had a ball. Chilled at the hotel pool, and took it easy. My kids love to swim. Then the night before coming home we spent some time in Tomorrowland (withing the Magic Kingdom park) and my son was thrilled. We took a rocket ride to the planets and my son actually still thinks that we went to outer space, with him as the pilot.
I would recommend the buffet at the Crystal Palace. They had LOTS of different things to try. The Salmon, the curried rice nooodles with vegetables and the cinnamon-infused basmati rice were excellent.
If you have young kids and a coin or two to drop, I highly recommend the Magic Kingdom for a family vacation.
