Our new TD category is..."Burger"

This was Cack's winning entry in the 2012"Burger" Thowdown.

As chosen by Oldyote for winning the "Sausage" Throwdown.

CATEGORY DESCRIPTION - READ BEFORE ENTERING

For the next Throwdown - Have we had good old fashioned BURGER Throwdown recently? If not I'd vote for that.

You may submit entries that are cooked from Friday 2/5/16 through the entry submission deadline of 12pm (NOON), Central US Time on Monday 2/15/16.

Entry pictures must be submitted by 12 p.m. (NOON) Central US Time on Monday 2/15/16

Big Burger

My TD entry...

Cheeseburger with Bacon,Fatty,Egg,Onion,tomato,lettuce, mustard,ketchup and mayo on a kaiser roll.

Since it is SuperBowl weekend, I thought I would use that as my theme for this TD. For my family, every Superbowl party has to have buffalo wings. So here is my buffalo wing inspired burger....

I started with a burger stuffed with a combination of blue cheese and cream cheese (should have taken photos :sad and cooked it hot and fast right over the charcoal chimney...

Cooking over the chimney allowed me to get good color, but not over cook the burger...

To top the burger, I made a "slaw" out of carrots, celery, and jalapeno pepper. I dressed this in a combination of blue cheese dressing and Franks Red Hot...

Here is the final product, on a grilled bun with fries...

This was a burger suitable for the head of the house! (since she wasn't home, I got to eat it :-D)
