Wal-Mart select brisket for $2.50 a pound.

Paid 2.47 a pound for prime packer at HEB last week. Regular price is 3.27. Costco is 2.79 for prime. Both stores in sugar land (Houston area).

Holy cow brisket is expensive down here. Pushin $4 most places. Store I work for has it at $7! I reduce it down to $2 when I want to pick one up tho. Shhh

Hey Shagdog, are those packers? I am from the suburbs of Chicago and cant find any whole packers at Costco here. Might be worth the drive up to grab a few. Less than an hour from my house.

Wish I could find any of this here. The only place I've been able to find packers here is at Walmart, and I've never seen anything other than select. Every once in a while, I'm able to find one that's thick enough through the flat. Hoping for a Costco to move into the area.

We saw really weak, Choice packers at Raley's, last week. They wanted $9.50lb.!! Wife and I had a good laugh at that price. Prices here are usually around $2-$3lb.

Yes, Full packers. They were at the one in Schaumburg on Friday too. My buddy got a couple. Talk to the guy in the meat dept. The first time I went, they only had one so I asked him, and he told me what days they got shipments in. He said that they never know what they're getting ahead of time, and that the packers sold quickly so I should come on a day they got meat in.. I would call ahead before making the trip.
