• xenforo has sucessfully updated our forum software last night. Howevr, that has returned many templates to stock formats which MAY be missing some previous functionality. It has also fixed some boroken templates Ive taken offline. Reat assured, we are working on getting our templates back to normal, but will take a few days. Im working top down, so best bet is to stick with the default templates as I work thru them.

I asked my Mexican friend who works with me to pick me up a brisket at a Mexican butcher shop around here. I traslated brisket into "falda" for him and showed him a picture and I explained to him that I wanted an minimum of a 10lb'r.

He comes back with something costing $3.00lb at about 3lbs. A cut called, "CUETE".

Any body heard of this cut and how would I Q it on my WSM? Or should I?

Never heard that term used for meat. In the Tex-Mex translation it means pistol.

Let me rephrase, "cuete" is a slang term for pistol in the hispanic language. It is what I guess you would say the way the Cholos talk. I have heard it used for years. My correct Spanglish isn't great, but my Tex-Mex is right on the money.
