• xenforo has sucessfully updated our forum software last night. Howevr, that has returned many templates to stock formats which MAY be missing some previous functionality. It has also fixed some boroken templates Ive taken offline. Reat assured, we are working on getting our templates back to normal, but will take a few days. Im working top down, so best bet is to stick with the default templates as I work thru them.

Craigslist made me do it.

Well had to look since it was down the street from work. Don't need another project, but
Slide1.jpg

Got it for $310 because I know Mista. Seems they go to church together. Gonna tell wife I am refurbing it for her Christmas gift. Figure she'll be pissed anyway.

A little wire brushing, some paint and your good to go.

I can post my 9 step program if you want.

Is this the next Flip that Pit?

Yup. Vinny and I do go to church together. I had posted that in the For Sale section.

Norco, you live on the edge. It could mean couch time and you still GO FOR IT! If we need to take up a divorce fund for you I will be the first to help.

PS. I'll give you $350. for it so's you live.

When the bitchin starts I just drag out a few dozen pair of shoes and ask "OK how many feet do you have" Cold shoulder mod for awhile. Gives me quality project time . By then then buddies/neighbors come by and marvel at the new creation. Helps her get over it.

Apparently Mrs. Norco was also a good score. That happens for some guys.
Make sure your photobucket has its ass in gear for all the pics your gonna take restorin it!
I have one concern: this project appears to only need some sanding and painting. How long can that keep you busy for...?

Congrats on the new smoker!

Looks nice..... how about some rough measurements or some other reference so we can see how large it is.

Also... on the top right hand pic, on the horizontal lid, there are some white rectangular objects that are not on it in the other pics.... ???? what are they? Your remote therms with the magnetic backs that came with it???

Can't wait to see the in progress pics. This is sorta what I have in mind for a project one of these days. I have access to 2 tanks, and just have to get off my lazy "A" and get it in gear.....

One is an air receiver tank approximately 22" in diameter by 5 ft long, the other is a propane tank 32" in diameter by 7 ft long.... I already have a heavy trailer so will make it on the trailer as I go. That will save from having to lift the entire beast when it is finished.

Nice smoker Norco, I saw that one for sale but thought my wife would lose it for sure if I grabbed it. She still hasn't got over the new Backwoods yet. I have a Horizon Patriot that weighs about 160lbs and I figured that one was at least 300-400lbs. How did you get that thing home?

Knowing Norco, he probably built a crane out of 2 tree braches, an ice cream sandwch and a dead cat.

Sweet pit Norco!
Once you get yours going and post pics, I'll have to start rehabbing mine

I don't think the man who "dies with the most smokers" wins but I'm thinking you're well on your way to being a contender.
