• xenforo has sucessfully updated our forum software last night. Howevr, that has returned many templates to stock formats which MAY be missing some previous functionality. It has also fixed some boroken templates Ive taken offline. Reat assured, we are working on getting our templates back to normal, but will take a few days. Im working top down, so best bet is to stick with the default templates as I work thru them.

Looking for some help making this choice, found a Weber Ranch Kettle on the CL and I got him to make a deal at $500 cash, still in box.
Should I or not?
Ray

If you will use it that's a deal.

It is so much lower priced than a new one, even on Amazon, that I would be very wary. Be sure to check it out completely and be careful how you deal with the guy.

What are you waiting for? As long as you can check that all the parts are there you should be all over that!

Brian

Like someone said if you need it great deal. But if your buying it because it a great deal it's not. Want proof, look in my garage at ebay crap collecting dust. Get wrapped up bidding sometimes.

I agree with Jorge on this one.
My wifes boss has one and it gets used once a year at Memorial Day.
It was a gift from his kids and the first time he used it I was cooking
hot dogs and hamburgers on regular webers.
He told me to go get it and fire it up because his kids bought it for him.
That is one big sumbiotch .... a 20 lb bag of Kingsford barely covers
the grill area. To cook offset a 20 lb bag was a little less than half the
cooking area.
IF YOU WILL USE IT .... It's a deal. Here is a link of the real cost and shipping.

Just my 2 cents.

Check with Chick'n Pig BBQ if you haven't pulled the trigger. He had one out at Bass Pro in Columbia when I got to visit some to the MoFo Brethren last year. Super nice guy.

Well it's mine. $500 and all in original packaging never opened!
Now I just got to get time to put it together before this Saturday's Church BBQ.

Does anyone know of a cover for this monster?

The people who built the Astrodome could probably make one for you.

Probably the same guy that Mista and I get my clothes from:
"Omar the Tent Maker"
-or-
"Dallas Tent and Awning"

Congrats on the find Ray, I've been eyeing one of those for a while now. That's a great grill and a steal for $500...

About a cover: I picked up about 1,000 pounds of vinyl tent material in various weights and colors. I could make something that would be very heavy duty. PM me if interested.
