• xenforo has sucessfully updated our forum software last night. Howevr, that has returned many templates to stock formats which MAY be missing some previous functionality. It has also fixed some boroken templates Ive taken offline. Reat assured, we are working on getting our templates back to normal, but will take a few days. Im working top down, so best bet is to stick with the default templates as I work thru them.

The debates never end

As men (no offense to the females here), we know they're all hot, but now for your mid summer holiday enjoyment it's time to cool down, the question is what brand of cooler do you prefer:

Coolers with wheels.
2 Smaller coolers instead of one large.

Getting to old to do the heavy lifting.

I asked because I noticed 5 of my 6 coolers are Igloo. (60 qt cube with wheels, 54 qt, 2- 40 qt, and a 12 packer) But my old Coleman Oscar is da bomb. It holds 18 beers and keeps ice for days even while boating in the middle of summer. And it serves as a great chair where ever I take it. It's been a trusted friend since my college days.

Coleman....but I don't knock anybody's choice of cooler as long as they have cold beer in them that I can get to!

I use both Coleman, Igloo and Thermos. By big ones are Coleman and I've got several 50 and 70 quart coolers from the other guys. I'm not brand centric so a lot comes down to price, what capacity I'm shopping for at the time, and replacement parts like hinges and latches.

I have a few cube coolers that are from Igloo and a 100 Quart one from Costco. I'm not sure what brand that one is.

This is the one I want...

I will let you debate which one it is!

Is there a cooler in that picture? :-D

Igloo 5-day (They call them MaxCold now).

coleman xtreme 5 day (although they have a 7 day now) is a real good one.

just don't ever buy the rubbermaid that has a two sided lid - I hate that sucker I got so bad we are gonna pick out a lucky recipient tomorrow at our big feed and give it away and replace it with another coleman x.

I voted Coleman 'cause out of the 17 or so coolers we got around here, I think I have 1 more Coleman than Igloo...

James.

Another vote for the Igloo Max Cold and Igloo Marine models.... they hold ice forever, and take a good licking and keep on ticking (timex mod)

Yeah - those are bad. Not even good for storing beers. The sloping sides make even that essential cooler function less fun. They are cheap - but here's a case of 'you get whatcha pay for' without a doubt.
