Does anyone have a suggestion as to where I can pick up some stainless steel cool touch handles for my pit?

Search for spring handles for stoves on Google or you can buy cheap welder's chipping hammers with spring handles that you can modify.

Right column, near the bottom of the page, Brinkmann handles for $25 per pair. Looks like you'll have to fashion the mounts yourself.

I am looking for a 6" wide one if anyone has a source for those. All of the ones I have found so far are 4 1/2" wide.
