• xenforo has sucessfully updated our forum software last night. Howevr, that has returned many templates to stock formats which MAY be missing some previous functionality. It has also fixed some boroken templates Ive taken offline. Reat assured, we are working on getting our templates back to normal, but will take a few days. Im working top down, so best bet is to stick with the default templates as I work thru them.

The smoker only came with two actual cooking racks for the smoker along with the rib rack and a bunch of other spikes and odd looking stuff that I'm not sure I'm going to use. Does anyone know where I can get some regular racks without going to Brinkman? It seems like ribs do just as well on a flat rack as the rib rack. I had one heck of a time using the rib rack last time.

If I remeber correctly, the brinkman uses an 18" grate. You can get those at local mega stores like Home Depot or Lowes maybe even WalMart. If you want to pay a little more for them go to BBQ Galore.

The racks are smaller than 18", 15 7/8" wx 16"d is the actual size. If you can find some racks that are narrower, you can use the hanging rods to set them on and make them work (I have a couple I use this way).

Brinkmann and/or Char-Broil is the best source. If memory serves correctly, C/B are a bit cheaper.

The rib rack isn't very useful but the frame can aslo be used to support an undersized shelf as well.

the L-shaped bolts you embed in concrete walls for attaching wood beams also work just like the hanging rods that kcquer described.
