• xenforo has sucessfully updated our forum software last night. Howevr, that has returned many templates to stock formats which MAY be missing some previous functionality. It has also fixed some boroken templates Ive taken offline. Reat assured, we are working on getting our templates back to normal, but will take a few days. Im working top down, so best bet is to stick with the default templates as I work thru them.

Competition space

Man, 20x20, I would get lost going to my pit! That would be a lot of space for CA contestes!

Space is like beer. The more I have the better i feel.

I like the way he thinks

We are spoiled for big spaces. When we were cooking MIM/MBN events most contests offered 30' x 30' & 40' x 40' sites. Some were even bigger. We configured our trailers to where we had to have a minimum of 30' wide and 30' deep. Since downsizing we still have our 26' enclosed trailer (this requires 30' deep w/o the tailgate opened)

Most of the contests we cook at now allow at least 30 feet deep and about 20 feet wide. Only once had to pay extra for an RV site to have room for the enclosed trailer.

I guess 20 x 20 is the norm around here as well, but most of them leave a buffer between teams so it feel bigger. We can fit into a 20x20 but it is tight. 20 x 30 is much better.

Agree with Capt. Ron, 20 x 20 is the norm in the midwest. We have seen much smaller spaces at some of the first time events - common mistake of beginning organizers.
