Going to pick up some restaurant equipment in Columbus Ohio. Where should I go and get some good BBQ?
Bob, I'd argue that some of city bbq is good que, just not all of it, as with most midwest bbq joints. The brisket isn't bad... the pork is so so, the ribs are nothing worth trying. But I like the turkey and brisket pretty well, for a midwest restaurant.
Hey Deni, just an FYI, the neighborhood around Restraunt Equippers isn't that nice of a place to be so stick to Broad St. or close to it and keep your doors locked.
Oh yeah, go up to the 2nd floor. They have all sorts of used equipment up there. Good deals.
There is also a place called Spaghetti Wharehouse just down the street from there. The food is ok but the atmosphere is great. They have all sorts of old memorabilia and there is even a real train caboose you can eat in. It's right by the tailroad tressel that goes over Broad St. The parking is behind the building.
They are coming from Detroit Z. What they'll see in CMH is nothing with what they've probably seen there.
I can't argue with that. I had to use City last Saturday when I misjudged cook times in my new girl and had to fill in some of the food from City. It was good enough for that. Once you've had some good stuff at Pig Iron you'll realize for a restaurant City isn't there.
I had smackie's at the new location since it's really close to my house and I wasn't that thrilled. But I'm picky about good food. I'd go hungry before I ate something subpar.
That's what I get for putting her to work before I had a chance to learn all her little nuances. Like trying to kiss a girl on your first date before she's ready. Time and patience get you everything.
