Hey Fellas,
Been doing well with BBQ over here and wanted to develop commercial brand BBQ sauce. I'm having a hard time knowing what company to go with or what to look for. Can someone with experience give me a hand. Any specific companies you guys would recommend... Thanks fellas

Here is my advice when looking for a co-packer.

1. Find one in an area you can get to fairly easily. (Not on other side of country). As you work through industrializing your recipe, packaging and labeling, being able to visit the facility will be a necessity.

2. Find one that already does wet sauces and has a current HACCP plan filed with the FDA.
3. Shop around. It is surprising the differences from one to another in MOQ (minimum order quantity), price per bottle/case, etc.
4. Bring lots of patience with you. The process can take much longer than you want it to sometimes.

Now for specifics.

Looks like you are also in NorCal.

Purveyors Kitchen is located in Auburn, CA and does wet sauces

CMS Fine foods is located in Healdsburg, CA

Good luck!
