Wampus
somebody shut me the fark up.
I'm going to play a bit with the Fiery Furnace next weekend. I'm trying to work out how to get me some more sleep time when vending with it this summer. I usually just make a wood fire and all, but what I'm wanting to do is use some brick to strategically set up in the FB and then put lump charcoal in level with the tops of the brick.
In effect, I'm going to make a charcoal snake by placing the brick so that they separate the charcoal.
I have some concrete landscape type brick here already and I know I can get more of those.
I can probably get some clay brick too.
Firebrick is another story. Not sure where to get them and I know they cost more.
So, honestly, how much (in this application) will it matter? I understand about lining a FB with firebrick and no concrete because the concrete won't last long, but even if these crack after a couple of uses, I can just replace concrete or clay brick easily and cheaply. Any other reason why this won't work?
