• xenforo has sucessfully updated our forum software last night. Howevr, that has returned many templates to stock formats which MAY be missing some previous functionality. It has also fixed some boroken templates Ive taken offline. Reat assured, we are working on getting our templates back to normal, but will take a few days. Im working top down, so best bet is to stick with the default templates as I work thru them.

We had our practice cook today and my teammate had this sitting on the side of her house so I thought I would share. A bit of nostalgia...

Wow what is that? An original NB design? Cool. Please explain how it works. Where do you put the fire?

There is a big charcoal pan in the bottom.

Looks like your running a bit hot there mister

HAHAHAHA! I woulnd't have a cluse as to how to use that thing. Her husband said it is great for smoking fish, though.

That looks a LOT like what I used last week! This one is a Brinkmann "Smoke'n Pit Smoke King" and the owner converted it to a gasser by laying a burner under it.

I have one of those - without the gasser mod.

Absolutely no thermal controls whatsoever.

Nice thick steel though.

Yep, Racer, that's it. No chimney, no baffle, no NADA to adjust.
Scared chit outta me to leave it going overnight, but it worked OK.

That's what I started with. It operates basically the same as any bullet smoker.
