It has also fixed some boroken templates Ive taken offline. Reat assured, we are working on getting our templates back to normal, but will take a few days. Im working top down, so best bet is to stick with the default templates as I work thru them.

To my Chicago brothers....

Looks like I will be getting into Chicago Thursday morning (9/7) and flying out Sat (9/9) around noon...Still waiting for official confirmation of flight times from my company travel dept.

I'll be staying at the Ramada on LakeShore Drive somewhat near the McCormick Center where the trade show will be. I've not finalized if I'll have any dinner meetings with some of my vendors.. My boss and a few co-workers will also be there so it may make it difficult to have the evenings free.

If I could leave one of the two nights open (Thurs or Friday) which would be better for you for a few beers or food in the evening ? That may help me set my schedule after the day is over at the show.

Last note - Doesn't look like I'll be getting a rental car as there is a shuttle bus that goes from the hotel to the convention center. So if me meet up, I'd probably need to stay close to where I'm at unless someone lived close by to pick up. Otherwise, I'd always be open to breakfast early Sat morning before my flight...but a few beers in the evening sound better I'm sure.

I'll keep you guys posted as I know more.

This ones gonna take some work Vinny.

Lakeshore Drive and McCormick, I'm sure all will agree, is destination hell. Thats like 22nd and LSD, which has both LSD and I55 cutting you off from everything.

RonL, are you familiar with the immediate area? Do we dare crack him outta that convention center zone to LTH?

Vinny, keep us posted on details, especially if you isolate a night where you are free.

I'll check the Sox schedule and my Skybox contacts as well

If you have a GPS bring it along just in case Bill picks you up :icon_wink, so you can help him find his way around.:lol::lol::lol::lol:

You ain't seen nothing Trout. LTH is in Chinatown, and I've spent months getting out of there.

You're right, Bill. There's really nothing in that area, but it's an easy cab ride to almost anywhere. Thursday night would be best for me. We're planning a weekend trip to my parent's summer place in Indiana for that weekend and we would be leaving on Friday afternoon.

I've never been to LTH. I could take the train into the city and then cab it to LTH...

OK... I made dinner plans with one vendor for Friday 9/8... I should be able to keep Thursday evening open if it works for you guys... Obviously things could change for either you guys or me.....

What the fark is LTH ???? I thought NY city had a lot of trendy abbreviations like SoHo, DUMBO etc...

LTH = Little Three Happiness

More info here...

Are you still coming to Chicago?

Yes... I'm definitely going to be there... just got my flight confirmations today..

Arriving Thurs late morning and departing Sat around noon from Midway..

I have dinner plans with a vendor on Friday night but I am open Thursday evening if anyone's around...

Vinny, how about your hotel plans?

If you book in River North, your selections of food go up a quintazillion compared to McCormick area.

Tell the boss its within the fixed taxi zone (not kidding, flat rate for McCormick Place to Downtown)

Although its in no way to be confused with fine dining, Jimbo's is closing up at the end of the month. Thats a nice neighborhood place (not necessarily in a nice neighborhood)

I'm definitely at the Ramada on Lakeshore Drive... The area is so booked up for this industry show that reservations are impossible to come by...

So, If anyone is gonna be free on Thursday evening and it's not a hassle to get into this area, let me know... I don't know my way around at all and will not be getting a car rental. if not, totally understandable as it's a weeknight and probably out of the way for you guys.

Otherwise, I'll be making plans for another business dinner on Thursday...
