• xenforo has sucessfully updated our forum software last night. Howevr, that has returned many templates to stock formats which MAY be missing some previous functionality. It has also fixed some boroken templates Ive taken offline. Reat assured, we are working on getting our templates back to normal, but will take a few days. Im working top down, so best bet is to stick with the default templates as I work thru them.

Well, today's the day. Cooking 6 turkeys for the salvation army soup kitchen here. Got em on a little late so I'm pushing it. Just gonna keep the temp up a bit to put a slight rush on them. Hopefully it'll work out fine, I think it will.

That's awesome Thank you

Thank you George but I got hit with the nightmare of it raining hard. The skin I'm going to have to tell them to scratch. Has some creosote on them.

Ho hum. Perfection will not occur today it seems. Hopefully they'll at least taste good.

Thanks guys.

No pron sorry. It was raining so hard and I was running to deliver them when needed I didnt get a chance to snap any photos. I was soaked to the bone.

Killer job, wish I had a cooker big enough to do something like that in the burgh.
Again fantastic of you to do this!!!

Thanks for doing what you did, Jimmy.

I know there are a whole bunch of folks eating well today, in large part, because of your efforts.

Thanks Evil. It's nice being capable space wise. I'd like to possibly work on getting a feed the vets event like the one in Northport going at the philly VA or another one possibly one day. I know it's be a ton of work to get one going but would be worth it.

Thanks.

Just spoke to Stephanie the soup kitchen coordinator or whatever the title is for the one running it.

I was wondering if the 6 turkeys were enough and how they went over. She said it was plenty and that the people all raved over them. Her and the volunteer staff were able to have some as well and she said it was delicious, that they all thoroughly enjoyed it and thanked me exuberantly.

That right there was the exact whole reason I wanted to do it. Best $150 and 3 hours I've spent in a long time. Today is another good day.
