• xenforo has sucessfully updated our forum software last night. Howevr, that has returned many templates to stock formats which MAY be missing some previous functionality. It has also fixed some boroken templates Ive taken offline. Reat assured, we are working on getting our templates back to normal, but will take a few days. Im working top down, so best bet is to stick with the default templates as I work thru them.

Does anyone know the dimensions of the charcoal tray for a large Spicewine. I misplaxed the keys to our trailer. I know they are home somewhere. I have a serious case of CRS. I appreciate your help.

Sorry to ask this but I just got up and have not gotten down my first cup of coffee. What does the losing the keys to your trailer have to do with your charcoal tray?

I am not dressed yet but I will measure mine in a little while and let you know unless someone beats me to it.

WAG - But could the cooker be locked in the trailer with tray in the cooker??? That's my guess

The charcoal tray on my lg Spicewine is, 25 3/4 deep by 35 wide by 1 in tall.
Hope this gets to you in time.

Guy leaves the spicebox in the trailer.

I would venture the trailers locked.....

Hey Sawdust, did u check the inside of the spicebox for the keys.?

Yes I figured that much but why would he need the charcoal tray size. Anyway I gave it to him. Guess I read it in a different way.

Dave, thank you for the help. My wife just found the keys rattling around in the washing machine. She did a load of wash today and I guess I forgot to take them out of my pants before hitting the rack Sunday night.

BTW: I am buying material to build my charcoal bin.

Guy..More importantly calculate the distance from the rails instead of the edges of the tray for any design. It overlaps.

If you go by the tray width it won't fit.... Don't ask how I know this...:icon_blush:

Vinny,

Thanks! I almost forgot about that.

My pleasure... You should have seen how many times I measured the racks to ensure I took down perfect measurements. All for nothing...

First time out at YFF's Kayak event, I ended up putting the basket on the rails !!!!!!!!!

Had to have Phil's cousin cut it down the middle, cut out a fraction of an inch and re-weld...

You Guys don't know how hard it is to build those racks!! Even though we have the exact measurments, the steel companies have a different thought. I build the cooking racks myself and have had up to a 1/4 of an inch difference from one unit to the next. Also in fabrication, the steel may pull in or bow out, so I measure each runner and build to fit. What the Hell!! They are custom made, each one, and untill a Big Company comes in and buys me out, they will all be hand made!!

Rest assured that I have personally cursed over each and every cooker that I have built, but get my satisfaction when they first see the finished product .

No regrets so far, except I would like to make some money building these things:rolleyes:

And NO!! Phil!!! You Can't have one!! MOAB this, MOAB that, Blaaa Blaaa Blaaa!!

Keep us posted on this Guy. I will most likely want to build one too.

Just curious Jay, are you referring to warpage from the heat of welding or not being straight when you receive it?
