• xenforo has sucessfully updated our forum software last night. Howevr, that has returned many templates to stock formats which MAY be missing some previous functionality. It has also fixed some boroken templates Ive taken offline. Reat assured, we are working on getting our templates back to normal, but will take a few days. Im working top down, so best bet is to stick with the default templates as I work thru them.

Hello everyone. I am in Laurens, SC (right outside of Greenville), and I am having a devil of a time finding anything other than Kingsford. I would like to use either Original Charcoal Rancher/Lump or Royal Oak Lump. I have been to every Home Depot in the Upstate with no success on the Original Charcoal. Have been to 4 different Wally Worlds looking for Royal Oak with no luck.

I live about 5 miles from the Wally World Distribution Center. I may just have to bust in there and find it .

The only thing that i can find is Cowboy lump, and I don't like that at all. Anyone else here from Upstate SC. If so, where do you get it at?

If you have a hard time finding any of those charcoals I'm not sure where this is in location to you, but Wicked Good is some of the best charcoal on the market, a little more pricey than some others, but it might be worth looking into.

Yeah...I've called them, and everywhere that it is "supposed" to be doesn't have it.
They are in Charlotte - Take a drive to the "Big City" if they stock and sell from where they are based. The HD's around here all have the Rancher.

They only sell it by the pallet in Charlotte. Not sure I want to buy that much at one time right now.

I'll give them a call.

Could not agree more. You pay more, however it burns so nicely that it is well worth the price.

Perhaps God may be telling you to use wood.

We use Humphrey Lump Charcoal. http://humphrey-charcoal.com/ I contacted them and asked for their nearest distributer in my area and they replied pretty quickly. We can get it in 10#, 20# and 40# bags. Good luck.

I get Royal Oak at Wally World. And Kingsford briquettes too. Sometimes when I get over to Sam's Club Ill get a twin pack of Kingsford.

Home Depot in Greer had Original Charcoal Rancher today. Looked like it just came in because the pallet was pretty full. You may want to try your local HD again.

I would stay away from Original Charcoal Rancher. I tried it and did not like it. Burns okay, but you get alot of white ash which coats everything badley. Also 75% of the briquettes crumble after only one burn.

I usually work with Kingsford and can get 75% of the briquettes to make a second burn. I much prefer Kingsford, is a greatly superior product.
