• xenforo has sucessfully updated our forum software last night. Howevr, that has returned many templates to stock formats which MAY be missing some previous functionality. It has also fixed some boroken templates Ive taken offline. Reat assured, we are working on getting our templates back to normal, but will take a few days. YUK!

Earl's Rib Palace brought us chopped/pulled brisket, chicken pieces, sliced sausage, and sides. The buns for the beef sammiches were HUGE, the beef was without much flavor, the chicken was...slimy. The sausage slices were good, thank GOD.

Am I picky when it comes to Q? You bet. It's a curse.

Sorry to hear that Arlin.
Pretty easy to become a Q snob when you do it yourself.
Did all the other folks rave about how good it was? [Arlin rolling eyes mod]

I cooked brisket, pork, ribs, homemade sausage, and beans for our client support group yesterday...they were warming up the leftovers today, still smelled awesome.

even got some paying customers out of the deal!

About six months ago I had a very similar exp. at the department picnic. Kept mouth shut and waited three weeks. At that time Justin and I (Son) cooked up some ribs and pulled pork. (They are not worth brisket) and some fatties. Told some people that i was going to bring this in so don't bring a lunch. Well were not having the YUK anymore that we had for the picnic. I was asked to do it next year but said that I would rather have fun at the picnic. and that I don't have the room to do it.. I told them that I would get a name of a STL team that could provide this service but they would need to contact them for arrangements. The last time I tried to be helpful was a nightmare and still waiting to clear up several strings.

You oughtta.................make some real Q and take it to work and show 'em what the real deal should taste like.

My group wanted me to cook for our Christmas pot luck but the bank has a no solicitation policy so the manager's nixed it. We had chicken from the grocery store.

I smokin' some butts on Sunday for our little Christmas party on Monday...most people in my area have had or at least smelled my Q & the woman who organized the lunch asked if I'd be interested in bringing in the meat instead os bringing food in. Told her sure...other people are bringing in sides & sweets, those not contributing food have given me $$$. At least I know the pulled pork sammies will be good

I always host a Holiday Teambuilder (Xmas parties are a PC no no at my company) for my sales group and others from our company in the area. We held it at the 'ol Rancho Rocke last Saturday, and this year 30 folks went thru 10 racks of spares, 6 tri tip, 2 pork shoulders, dozen and a half chix thighs plus salads, etc and a couple of pans of my wife's corn bread.

Alcohol consumption was equally impressive.

Sunday recovery time impressive as well.

I Catered a Lunch for 50 today
Getting Paid to cook which I do for fun is very nice

I am working this weekend and heard the managment is begging people to go to company lunch. Guys I work with and day shift folks hope my jury duty is over with early next week. They all want to cook prime rib on the electric UDS! Last year I did a ham and a turkey for our shift. Word got around. Don't mind getting paid to cook at work.

We had some pretty bad BBQ this week for our department lunch, too. Oh wait, I made it.
