• xenforo has sucessfully updated our forum software last night. Howevr, that has returned many templates to stock formats which MAY be missing some previous functionality. It has also fixed some boroken templates Ive taken offline. Reat assured, we are working on getting our templates back to normal, but will take a few days. Im working top down, so best bet is to stick with the default templates as I work thru them.

Does anyone have any experience with these thermometers? It's stupid cheap, and says it has a 1 second read time. It looks like they've only been out a short time, and I'm not much on early adoption, but at this price... lets just say I've made more expensive mistakes. I'm just looking for a little feedback first if any is available.

My thermometer is arriving today and I've got a brisket on the offset to test with. If I get motivated enough I'll post a video of the test with boiling water to see how it really performs.

So my thermometer arrived today. I boiled a pan of water to test it out. All the features work fine, but the one-second read was a little off. From 70 degrees ambient temperature to 212 (it was at least accurate) took 11 seconds. It works though, and for $14.95 I'm happy with it.

Yeah I get readings about that fast with my thrift store find. Guess I'm good where I'm at.
