• xenforo has sucessfully updated our forum software last night. Howevr, that has returned many templates to stock formats which MAY be missing some previous functionality. It has also fixed some boroken templates Ive taken offline. Reat assured, we are working on getting our templates back to normal, but will take a few days. Im working top down, so best bet is to stick with the default templates as I work thru them.

Left over rib eyes is pdg and easy too with some Rhodes yeast rolls. Got in a hurry and cooked too fast but I ain’t complaining. Cucumber, sour cream and lemon is what I really liked though.

How about starting your own thread and telling the rest of us how to make a Grandpa and/or Grandma!8-) Best slice I've ever had. I stopped in at the local NY pizzaria and asked about it and they looked at me like I'd stolen the crown jewels. "How youse know about a Grandpa?..... I gots friend that are paisans <sp? >"

No, I picked up the order I'd called in. Chicken Picata for the better half, and a sammich for me.

Instead of taunting me you could be typing out the how to for the rest of us.

You might have enough sausage for now.......but you'll need more.....

oh..sorry.. missed that.. it easy

grandma has cheese underneath the sauce. So make your dough.. get it partially cooked, put the cheese on the crust, mozerella, romano, oregano, fresh basil.. then pour the sauce ON TOP of the cheese. (I cheat and add a sprinkle of mozerella cheese on top too, just in a few spots scattered around, and lots of fresh chopped basil and romano.).

for a Grandpa, make a grandma, then add a heavy layer of italian style seasoned bread crumbs on top of the sauce.. and sprinkle with some very fine diced mixture of red onion/basil/olive oil/romano cheese on top of the bread crumbs).

finishing cooking them till crust is brown on the bottom and cheese has melted.

i don't care whatchu call it, it looks pretty dang good! did you roll out the yeast rolls to make those breads and was that dough frozen?

It was the frozen ones. maybe between this thread and the huge section on Italian food in the current food & wine I'll be able to learn something.

I like the sounds of the grandpa and grandma both, but that deal about bread crumbs on pizza is sure interesting to say the least.

pizza hut is the only deal we have in our little town. use to have a big nice one but the owner got p.o.'d about the state and local laws that banned smoking in his just been built rush limbow smoke room, so he closed it abruptly and rented it to the mexicans which serve crap that ain't fit to eat (it's expensive / over priced taco bell).
